Process simulation

Process engineers are constantly working on heat- and mass balances of their plants and catching up with the operational interaction of thousands of process parameters as they float in mutual interdependencies in their plants. The complexity of these inter-woven phenomena and machine characteristics puts a limit to the utilization of office-software for this objective. Root cause analysis and projection of plant behavior due to certain modifications can much better be executed with our process simulation tools which incorporate models for the many process units and connect all those to one another in a static or dynamic simulation on process level. While CFD looks into a detail of a piece of equipment, our process simulation can look at the complete cement plant and analyze or predict the behavior of the complete system.

Feasibility checks and capacity limitations can be investigated upfront actually execution of any potential plant retrofit. Process models can be used to serve in advanced process control systems, like MPC- or 2nd.-level controllers.
