Matthias Mersmann has worked on the optimization for machines and processes in the cement industry for over 25 years. Before founding aixergee he was with KHD Humboldt Wedag in Germany where he started as a process engineer and left the company after 15 years as Vice President Technology, being responsible for the groups technological portfolio worldwide. After affiliation with the Loesche-group, Matthias also served for 8 years as a Member of the Executive Committee being responsible for Technology and Innovation.
Martin Weng has founded the engineering company aixprocess as a spin-off from the RWTH Aachen (Technical University Aachen) in 2001. aixprocess has developed a lot of engineering and simulation tools, many of them being focused on the specifics of the respective industries – predominantly the cement industry, such as e.g. for the computation of secondary fuels, clinker reactions and (cyclone) separation processes. 2008, aixprocess GmbH was established as a specific company for Basic and Detail Engineering of process equipment.
A dedicated team of process engineers, computer scientists, physicists, mathematicians and smart people are constantly cooperating to bridge the span from the industrial real world via the process engineers view into the model representation and finally into the computer simulation. And back!
